A safe protects what is inside it. Safe management adds control to this: a certified lock connected to an app or platform, so that you grant and withdraw rights, block safes and trace every opening. Also for safes at different locations.
What is safe management?
An ordinary safe lock does one thing: open or closed. It does not tell you who opened the safe, when, or whether someone tried a wrong code. As soon as you have more than one safe, or safes at different locations, nobody knows exactly what is happening any more.
With safe management, each safe is fitted with a certified electronic lock connected to a management environment: an app or a cloud platform. In it, you determine who may open a safe and when, block a safe remotely and read the event log. The opening itself always takes place on site, by an authorised user.
How that user opens the lock differs per platform: with a personal code on a keypad after the lock has been released, or directly with the smartphone. In both cases the lock remains certified. A released lock also continues to open without a network; only releasing, blocking and notifications wait for the connection.
It remains a simple and affordable solution: no dedicated server, no server room and no software on your PCs. A certified lock, a network connection and the app are sufficient. Depending on the platform, the extended management functions require a subscription per safe; we state this in advance in the quote.

Safe lock without a keypad: the user unlocks it with their smartphone (NFC) using an encrypted mobile key. Access rights are granted and revoked, and the event log is consulted, in the SGCloud platform; the lock keeps working during a network interruption. No codes that can be shared or observed.

Frequently asked questions
Does a safe remain certified with a connected lock?
Yes, if the lock itself is certified (EN 1300 class B) and matches the class of the safe: up to and including class V in accordance with EN 1143-1, where from class IV two class B locks are required. For an existing safe, we first check whether the door and the cable feed-through permit this.
Does the safe work if the network fails?
A lock that has been released opens on site like an ordinary electronic safe lock. A blocked lock can only be released again once the connection is restored; for emergencies, the lock version chosen provides a local emergency procedure. Remote management and notifications wait until the connection is restored.
Can someone open the safe remotely?
No. Remotely, you can grant or withdraw rights or block a safe. Opening always takes place on site, by an authorised user.
Can our existing safe be converted?
Often yes: connected locks have the same installation dimensions as most electronic safe locks. Send us a photo of the door and the current lock; we will tell you whether it fits.
What if the contents must be issued per item?
Then you combine the lock on the door with electronically managed positions inside: the door records who opened the safe, the positions record what was taken out. Ask us about the options.
Which platform suits us?
That depends on the number of safes, the locations and how your employees need to open them: with a code on a keypad, or with a smartphone. We assess this together and demonstrate both in our showroom.
